Network Scaffolding, one of the two scaffolding divisions of TI, have been successful in the Construction News Specialist Awards 2013.

Their work upon the Royal Albert Bridge on behalf of Network Rail has been recognised with a Highly Commended award in the Access & Scaffolding Specialist of the Year Category.

The team came second in the overall category and were the highest ranked Scaffolding contractor.

Scaffolding upon the Royal Albert Bridge project is being erected by Taziker Industrials’ specialist bridge scaffolding division, Network Scaffolding. The HAKI system scaffold, selected for this contract, was purchased at a cost in excess of £1million.

The scaffolding is suspended from the structure using RMD Kwikform Superslim Soldiers, which are laid at track level parallel to the rails. The system scaffold is connected to droppers coming off the soldiers and extends across the Tamar and up the sides.

The HAKI system scaffold was selected for two main reasons, the first being that there is no leading edge working involved in its erection; and the second being that as the system is made from Aluminium we are able to erect more spans at once when compared to steel.
